Alison Nowak is an accomplished educator and professional with significant experience in various roles within the arts and communications fields. Currently serving as an Associate Professor, Visiting Artist, and Adjunct Instructor at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design since August 2006, Alison has taught Illustration and coordinated academic support services. Previous roles include Interim Academic Skills Specialist and Interim Learning Center Director, where Alison facilitated disability accommodations and offered individualized writing support. As Communications Manager at Family Tree Clinic, Alison developed promotional content and managed social media. Alison's background also includes editorial work as Managing Editor for The Queer and Now, sales management at Rosetta Stone, and general management at The Smitten Kitten, showcasing a diverse skill set in management, design, and communication. Alison holds an MFA in Illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and a BA in Women's Studies from Mills College.
