Michael McAfee's work experience begins in 2000 when they worked as an Advertising Sales Consultant for Gateway Star Publications. In this role, they developed a solid account base and was responsible for budgeting and designing advertisements.
In 2001, McAfee joined Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC as a Ticket Sales Representative. Michael contributed to a 15% increase in individual season ticket sales and renewals. Michael also developed and managed an account base through cold calls and sales visits, as well as assisted schools with drug awareness seminars.
From 2002 to 2003, McAfee was the Group Sales Coordinator for Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. Michael was responsible for season ticket sales and increased group sales by 37% over the prior year. Michael continued to develop relationships and strengthen the account base through cold calls and sales visits in the Pittsburgh corporate community.
In 2004, McAfee joined Sigma-Aldrich as an Account Manager. Michael was responsible for sales of analytical and chromatography products and consistently met or exceeded sales goals. Michael provided clients with application-based solutions and exceeded customer expectations. From 2007 to 2008, they served as a Senior Account Manager at Sigma-Aldrich, where they were responsible for sales growth and promotion of analytical and chromatography products in the Pacific Northwest Region. Michael exceeded quarterly sales growth objectives for 4 out of 6 consecutive quarters.
Since 2008, McAfee has been working at Minitab. Michael started as a Commercial Inside Sales Representative, responsible for sales growth and promotion of Minitab, Quality Trainer, and Quality Companion. Michael then became the Commercial Inside Sales Manager from 2012 to 2016. Currently, they are the Mid-Market Manager, overseeing sales growth and promotion of Minitab products. Michael works with a team to develop and expand Minitab's domestic sales effort and build strong professional relationships with quality leaders and purchasing professionals.
Michael McAfee obtained their Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Penn State University from the year 1995 until 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on International/Global Studies at Southern New Hampshire University, commencing in 2007 and completing it by 2011.
