Eric Maidla is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the drilling and petroleum engineering sectors. Currently serving as the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Estonia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia since December 2020, Eric also holds the position of President at Nexen Data Solutions Inc., focusing on enhancing drilling processes through data analysis and quality control since June 2006. Additionally, Eric is a part owner and President of proNova by TDE, specializing in automatic rig state detection and key performance indicators related to drilling. Previous roles include Vice President of Business Development at Schlumberger's Slider Business Unit, Vice President of Business Development for Noble Drilling, and Drilling Manager at CSIRO. Eric's academic credentials include a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Centro Universitário do Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia. Notably, Eric founded the first petroleum engineering department and the first SPE Student Chapter in Brazil at Universidade Estadual de Campinas.
