Jan Sixta is a seasoned professional in the Czech Republic's public administration, currently serving as State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture since September 2018. Sixta has extensive experience, including roles as a member of the Appeal Body at the Office for the Protection of Competition since 2009, State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance from January 2015 to September 2018, and as Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Czech Post from 2012 to early 2015. Additionally, Sixta held positions as Deputy Minister for Internal Security at the Ministry of the Interior and Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Agriculture. Earlier career endeavors include serving as Deputy Minister and Senior Director at the Ministry for Regional Development. Sixta earned a Master's degree in Law from Charles University, Faculty of Law, between 1997 and 2003.
