Patrick Slevin is a seasoned leader in arts and education, serving as the Executive Director of Austin Soundwaves since July 2011, where achievements include securing over $1.2 million in individual gifts and grants and increasing individual giving by 60% over the past three years. As a Founding Program & Artistic Director, Patrick developed the Equity in Music Education Framework and led initiatives such as the Fall Into Music instrument drive, which has collected over 3,000 instruments. In addition, Patrick has facilitated national training for over 500 teachers at MINDPOP and has provided mentorship and presentations on various topics in multiple academic and professional settings, including a role as Clinical Faculty Member at The University of Texas at Austin. An alumnus of Northwestern University and the New England Conservatory of Music, Patrick combines expertise in music and urban studies with practical experience in civic engagement.
