Ulana Rey is a Doctor of Pharmacy, biotech consultant, and entrepreneur. She is the Founder and CEO of MindLumina in San Francisco.

Ulana has over 25 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, academic research, and consulting experience. She has provided strategic direction, conducted market research, analyzed competitive intelligence, and created effective medical communications to advance scientific platforms in global medical affairs, drug information, scientific communications, clinical development, and business development programs. Ulana has also provided expertise on artificial intelligence tools in the field of biotech.

Prior to founding MindLumina, Ulana was part of the executive leadership team at Otonomy, as the Senior Director of Medical Affairs and National Medical Science Liaisons for the otology product portfolio.

At Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Ulana launched a new non-opioid analgesic for acute post-surgical pain, while managing a team of medical science liaisons and meeting with thought leaders, payers, and hospital systems nationwide.

At Gilead Sciences, Ulana led Medical Information teams and later spearheaded a new division called Medical Communications which gathered and disseminated competitive intelligence insights in daily company-wide bulletins, in addition to developing, annotating, and managing all medical slide presentations across all company therapeutic areas.

Ulana Rey received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California at San Francisco, where she was a Bowl of Hygeia award finalist. She completed her residency at Stanford University.
