Susan Metros has a diverse and extensive work experience in the fields of information technology and academic innovation. Susan founded and served as the Principal of Metros Consulting since 2007, where they provided consultation on information and education technology, online learning strategy, and implementation. Susan also worked as an Executive Coach at BetterManager starting in 2021 and as a Professional Coach at Mindbeat from 2020 onwards.
Previously, Susan held various roles at the University of Southern California (USC). Susan served as the Director for Remote Learning at the USC Iovine & Young Academy for Arts, Tech & the Business of Innovation from 2015 to 2017, where they led the development of online programs and provided strategic vision for online opportunities. Before joining USC, Susan worked at The Ohio State University as the Interim CIO in 2007 and as a Professor from 2001 to 2007. Susan also held the role of Deputy CIO and Executive Director for eLearning at The Ohio State University, where they transformed Technology Enhanced Learning and Research into a client-focused operation supporting technology integration in teaching, learning, and research.
Susan's earlier experiences include roles at the University of Tennessee, where they served as an Assistant Vice President for Educational Technology and Professor from 1984 to 2001. In this position, they transformed the Innovative Technologies Center into a unit providing educational technology support and resources for faculty.

Susan Metros holds an MFA in Graphic Design and a BFA in Painting and Drawing, both obtained from Michigan State University. Prior to their university education, they attended Oak Park High School. In addition to their degrees, they have achieved various certifications and awards throughout their career, including being a Level 1 Certified Life Coach from the Certified Life Coach Institute, an ASU GSV Virtual Summit 2020 participant from ASU GSV Summit, and an InterviewFocus Career Coach Certification holder from InterviewFocus. Susan has also received the Leadership Award 2017 from EDUCAUSE, served as a presenter and alumni member of the EDUCAUSE Leading Change Institute, and held multiple roles within EDUCAUSE, including committee member, mentor/thought leader, and presenter. Susan is also a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) recognized by the International Coaching Federation and an ICF Member Badge holder.
