Previously held roles include Corporate Director for Adults, Children and Public Health, Interim Director of Children's Services, and Assistant Director for Children's Services, focusing on strategic leadership in child protection, safeguarding, and service improvement. Before Milton Keynes, Michael Bracey worked at the Department for Education on the Targeted Youth Support programme and served as Head of Youth Support Services for Southend-on-Sea City Council, where responsibilities encompassed youth work, career guidance, and the development of integrated services for vulnerable young people.
