Deepak Gopalakrishnan serves as the Lead Spacecraft Mechanical Engineer at Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, since June 2022. Prior to this role, Gopalakrishnan worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Raytheon from December 2017 to May 2022, focusing on controls and precision mechanisms. Gopalakrishnan also contributed as a Volunteer Events Coordinator for S.Y.STEM Coalition between January 2018 and June 2021, organizing STEM events for K-12 students in the Tucson community. Earlier experience includes internships at KARL STORZ Endoscopy-America, Inc., where Gopalakrishnan investigated material deformations and worked on manufacturing processes and simulations. Gopalakrishnan holds both a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, completed in 2017 and 2016, respectively.
