Ruggero Altair Tacchi is a Principal Software Engineer at SpaceX since March 2022, following a tenure as Tech Advisor and Head of AI Services and R&D at Sirona Medical from June 2021 to May 2023. Prior to this, Ruggero held various roles at Mapbox, including Data Science Manager for the Telemetry Team from April 2018 to June 2021, and served as Director of Data Science, Lead Data Scientist, and Data Scientist at Quid from October 2012 to March 2018. Ruggero's academic experience includes a role as Visiting Scholar at UC Davis and Stanford University, where contributions involved energy optimization and particle physics curriculum development. With a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Davis, and a Laurea in Physics from Sapienza Università di Roma, Ruggero possesses a deep academic and professional background in both theoretical and applied sciences.
