Katie Hill

VP Engagement, Chief Innovation Officer at Milkweed Editions

Katie Hill has a diverse work experience in the fields of engagement strategy, brand management, and program assistance. Katie'smost recent position was as the VP Engagement and Chief Innovation Officer at Milkweed Editions, starting in August 2021. Prior to that, they worked at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia) for nearly a decade, holding various roles including Head of Engagement Strategy, Brand Engagement Strategist, and Audience Engagement Specialist. At Mia, they were responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive engagement strategies, creating audience engagement events, and designing marketing plans to raise awareness and increase attendance. Before Mia, Katie worked at the Walker Art Center as a Program Fellow and Digital Media Assistant. Katie also gained experience as a Graduate Program Assistant and Exhibition Assistant at the Department of Art History, University of St. Thomas.

Katie Hill pursued their educational journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, majoring in English Language & Literature and Art History, from Kenyon College. Katie attended the college from 2002 to 2006. Later, they pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Art History from the University of St. Thomas, where they were enrolled from 2010 to 2012.
