Kate Torgersen has a long and varied work experience. Kate began their career in 1995 as a Ski Instructor at Squaw Valley Ski Holdings. In 1996, they worked as an Archaeological Technician & Wild Land Firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service, where they were responsible for cultural resource management and had a red card certification for wild land firefighting. In 1997, they worked as an Office Manager for Sam Smidt Graphic Design. Kate then moved to Clif Bar & Co, where they held four different positions from 1998 to 2014, including Executive Communications & Speech Writer, National Field Marketing Manager, Field Marketing Coordinator, and Consumer Service Representative. Finally, in 2014, they founded and became CEO of Milk Stork.
Kate Torgersen's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley from 1991 to 1995, a Master of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute from 2005 to 2008, and prior to that, they attended Castilleja School from 1984 to 1986 and Palo Alto High School from 1986 to 1991. In addition, they have obtained certifications as a Private Aircraft Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration and as a Professional Ski Instructor from the PSIA - AASI Professional Ski Instructors of America - American Association of Snowboard Instructors.
