Kris Mazurs

Head Of Design at MileIQ

Kris Mazurs has worked in various roles in the design and strategy fields since 2013. In 2013, Kris was a Strategy Intern at Firstborn Multimedia, where they developed strategies for Michael Bloomberg, Pepsi, L'Oreal, and AARP, and developed the central idea for an award-winning campaign on financial education. In 2014, Kris co-founded White Label, a brand strategy agency, and served as the Director of Strategy. They helped establish, grow, and lead the Strategy team, in addition to handling client work, partnerships, and eventual acquisition by McCANN Worldgroup. In 2015, Kris co-founded Overpriced, an award-winning Brand Design studio, and served as the Director of Design. They established, grew, and led a team of 10 designers and were responsible for the studio's growth, creative direction, key accounts, and partnerships with other agencies. In 2016, Kris was invited to be a Lecturer at the Art Academy of Latvia, teaching graduate and undergraduate level classes on Brand Design and Design & Entrepreneurship, and supervising undergraduate theses. In 2020, Kris was an AABS Postgraduate Fellow at Stanford University, and was the Head Teaching Assistant for professor Christina Wodtke's class. They were responsible for leading class discussions, preparing case studies in contemporary design ethics, grading student work, and hosting Office Hours. Currently, Kris is the Head Of Design and Product Designer at MileIQ - Automatic Mileage Tracker & Log.

Kris Mazurs completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics and Business from RÄ«gas Ekonomikas augstskola - Stockholm School of Economics in Riga in 2012. In 2019, they began a Masters of Science (ME) in Design Impact at Stanford University, which they are currently completing.
