Miriam D'Arrigo is a legal and policy officer at the European Commission, focused on the implementation of regulations around General Purpose AI (GPAI) models within the DG CNECT - European AI Office since July 2022. Concurrently, D'Arrigo serves as a lawyer admitted to the Italian Bar with Ordine Avvocati Milano. Prior experience includes roles as a parliamentary legal adviser for various committees at the European Parliament from October 2018 to July 2022, and as a legal advisor specializing in EU law and competition at Grimaldi Studio Legale. D'Arrigo's educational background includes advanced degrees in French and Italian law from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne and the Institute for European Studies, as well as a law degree from the Università degli Studi di Firenze.
