Brian Hodges, M.S., is an experienced food and beverage laboratory supervisor at Midwest Laboratories, where responsibilities include serving as head scientist in the Genetics Division and overseeing genetic modifications and meat adulteration. With a background as Chemical Scientist III, Brian conducts experiments to assess food product quality and integrity, specializing as head geneticist in the Genetically Modified Organism laboratory. Prior experience includes a role as research assistant at Chicago State University, where Brian led a federally funded gene mapping project focused on identifying the gene linked to the neurodegenerative disease Ataxia. Brian holds a Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology from Chicago State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Corporate Communications from The University of Kansas.
