Kurt Hickson is an experienced professional in the art and cultural sector, currently serving as Technical Director at Coventry Biennial Ltd since August 2017. In addition to this role, Kurt holds various positions as Install Technician at Birmingham Museums Trust, Compton Verney Art Gallery and Park, and the University of Birmingham, along with being a Gallery Technician at the Royal Shakespeare Company, and a Visual Arts Technician at Midlands Arts Centre. Kurt's background also includes extensive experience as a Duty Manager/Install Technician at Ikon Gallery and Specialist Art Handler at the University of Warwick's Mead Gallery. Previously, Kurt worked as a Fabricator/Technician at Queen & Crawford, contributing to events such as Frieze London 2012 and the Supersonic Festival. Kurt earned a BA (Hons) in Fine Art from Liverpool John Moores University between 2003 and 2006.
