David Newton is an experienced electrical engineer and consultant with a robust background in power systems and project management, currently serving as Principal Power Engineer and Mentor at Middleton Group since September 2016. David also operates as a Principal Consultant at David Newton Electrical Engineering since November 2015. Previous roles include Principal Regional Electrical Engineer and Chief Resident Electrical Engineer at CH2M, Project Electrical Engineer at United Water, Senior Electrical Project Engineer at KBR, Inc., and Electrical Engineer/Project Manager at SA Water. David began their career as an Electrical Design and Construction Engineer at Hawker Siddeley Engineering. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Power Systems from the University of Adelaide, an MBA in Technology from Deakin University, a Bachelor of Engineering in Public Health Engineering from the University of South Australia, and a degree in Power Systems Analysis from the Institute of Technology Churchill.
