Africa Barrientos is an experienced professional in the field of nanoparticle development, currently serving as the Head of Nanoparticle Development at Midatech Pharma España SLU since 2007. Prior to this role, Africa held a position as a PostDoctoral Researcher at University College London from September 2005 to February 2007 and worked as a contracted researcher at Instituto Investigaciones Químicas, CSIC-Sevilla from April 2003 to September 2005. Africa holds a Doctor en Ciencias degree from CSIC-Universidad de Sevilla, attained between 1999 and 2003, a Tesis de licenciatura in Carbohydrate Chemistry from Universidad de Granada in 1998, and a Licenciatura in Organic Chemistry from Universidad de Granada completed in 1997.
