Katie McDonald has extensive experience in library services, having served in various roles at Mid-Continent Public Library since May 2012, culminating in the position of Associate Director of Reader Engagement. Responsibilities include supporting early literacy initiatives, managing the Youth Services Department, designing and implementing the Summer Library Program, and overseeing professional development for staff. Previous roles include Employment Specialist, Branch Manager II, and Assistant Branch Manager, where Katie demonstrated strong leadership, customer service, and conflict resolution skills. Education includes a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Emporia State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Park University, and completion of the Doniphan Leadership Institute at William Jewell College.
