Zdeněk Jonáš has extensive work experience in various roles related to software development and quality assurance. Zdeněk is currently working as a Senior Test Lead at MicroStream Software GmbH, where they are involved in developing a new OpenSource Java Native Persistence storage Microstream. Zdeněk'sresponsibilities include test management, testing, and DevOps using various technologies such as Java, Spring, Docker, Kafka, Jenkins pipelines, Groovy, and GitHub Actions.
Before joining MicroStream Software GmbH, Zdeněk worked as an Agile Senior Backend Developer E-Commerce at Witt-Gruppe, a member of the otto group. Zdeněk held this role from February 2017 to September 2019.
Prior to that, Zdeněk served as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Samhammer AG from June 2014 to January 2017. In this role, they were responsible for integration, performance, and acceptance test automation for a new Help Desk application. Zdeněk also defined the test strategy for integration, system integration, and acceptance automation testing, and created complete API Rest test projects and GUI regression automation tests.
Zdeněk has also worked as a Freelancer, taking up various projects in the Czech Republic from February 2010 to May 2014. During this time, they worked on projects for clients such as ČSOB (KBC) Bank, Wincor Nixdorf, e-Novation, and Tipsport, where they served as a Test Manager and created new QA departments.
Earlier in their career, Zdeněk held the positions of Head of QA and Testing Department at AspectWorks from August 2008 to January 2010, Quality Assurance Manager at Cleverbee from June 2007 to July 2008, and Java Developer/Tester at SoftEU from September 2006 to May 2007.
Zdeněk Jonáš obtained their Master's degree (Ing.) in Informatics and Computer technics - Distributed System from the University of West Bohemia, Pilsen. Zdeněk attended the university from 2001 to 2006. In addition to their degree, Zdeněk also obtained certifications in the ISTQB - Foundation from the International Software Testing Qualifications Board in August 2013, and the Cisco Networking Academy from CIV ZČU Pilsen in July 2006.
