Alejandra Barquero has a diverse work experience in the field of orthopedics and engineering. Alejandra currently works at MicroPort Orthopedics as a Knee & Advanced Technology Product Manager - Marketing since August 2022. Prior to this role, they served as an Associate Knee Product Manager - Marketing from June 2021. Alejandra also worked as a CAS Project Specialist from January 2020 to May 2021, and as a CAS Product Engineer from May 2017 to December 2019, both roles at MicroPort Orthopedics. Before joining MicroPort Orthopedics, they gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at VICAL from February 2015 to August 2015.

Alejandra Barquero pursued their education in a sequential manner, focusing on degrees in Mechanical Engineering before furthering their studies in the field of Marketing. Starting in 2011, they enrolled at the Universidad de Costa Rica UCR and completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering, which spanned from 2011 to 2015. Building upon this foundation, Alejandra pursued a higher level of education, enrolling at the same institution for a Licenciatura degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2019 to 2020. Alejandra'seducational journey continued as they decided to explore the field of Marketing, attending the Universidad Estatal a Distancia de Costa Rica from 2021 to 2023. During this period, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Marketing.
