Emma Hames has worked in various roles in the biotechnology field since 1998. Emma began as a placement student at SmithKline Beecham, then moved on to a Ph.D student role at the University of Cambridge, Institute of Biotechnology in 2000. In 1998 they joined Phico Therapeutics Ltd. as a Lead Process Scientist, then moved to Innova Biosciences in 2011 as a Senior Scientist. In 2014 they became an Expression Team Leader at Crescendo Biologics Ltd. and currently holds the roles of Director and Associate Director of CMC at Microbiotica since 2021.
Emma Hames obtained their BSc in Microbiology from the University of Surrey between 1996 and 2000. Emma then went on to pursue a Ph.D from the University of Cambridge, which they completed in 2004.
