Michael Flaherty has over twenty years of experience in the IT field. In 1995, they began their career as a PC Technician for Academic Achievement Services, where they worked on a team that solved hardware and software issues. Michael then moved on to Geo-Tech in 1999, where they worked as a PC Analyst/Instructor, instructing students in the practice and implementation of desktop support for CompTIA A+ Certification Exams, managing schedules in Lotus Notes and MS Access, and preparing classroom audio video equipment. In 2000, they began working as a Computer Technician for Harrison Public Schools, where they supported over 800 users on Windows XP and Windows 7 platforms. In 2011, they became an IT Support Analyst for IT-Radix onsite @ SetFocus, where they provided Windows server and desktop support, Hyper-V based virtualization, and Windows server/desktop image creation/deployment/maintenance. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as an Internal IT Support for INSYS Group, Inc., where they managed AD/Exchange systems, SharePoint, BlackBerry Enterprise Server, DBA tasks, EMC VNXe, Hyper-V, and several other systems. Finally, from 2013 to 2021, they worked as a Technology Specialist for Morris-Union Jointure Commission, where they maintained Windows Server 2008/2012/2016/2019 and Windows XP 7/10 Desktop OS, setup and maintained all servers Routers and Firewalls, monitored daily event logs for all servers, provided technical assistance in the maintenance of office network infrastructure, provided one-on-one training as needed for any IT resource, and installed, repaired, maintained, and upgraded servers, desktops, and notebook computers as well as printers. Currently, they work as a Technical Support Analyst for Micro Strategies Inc., where they configure, manages, migrates, monitors, and patches Microsoft Server 2008R2/2012R2/2016/2019 including DC, File Server, Printer server, Terminal Server, Application Sever, etc. with PowerShell expertise, and provides level 2 & 3 support for clients through Connectwise & symphony summit ticketing system, N-Central, and LogicMonitor administration, and Splunk Core Power User.
Michael Flaherty attended Kearny High School from 1984 to 1988. Michael then obtained their CompTIA A+ Certification from GEO-TECH PC & Electronics Institute in 1999. In October 2022, they obtained their iManage Work Helpdesk Analyst certification from Procteru.
