Josh Hakala is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in broadcasting and education. Currently serving as an Instructional Assistant at Honey Creek Community School since November 2023, Josh supports teachers and occasionally substitutes for various grade levels. Simultaneously, Josh works as an On Air Personality for Michigan Public, and has been a Senior Editor and Creator for TheCup.us since 2003. Josh's extensive freelance background as a Play-By-Play Broadcaster includes experience with NCAA championships and multiple soccer teams. Previous roles also include News Reporter at 89.1 WEMU-FM, Play-By-Play Announcer for Concordia University Ann Arbor, and positions with Michigan Radio and Advance Digital. Josh holds a Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Telecommunications & Mass Media from Temple University and an Associate's degree in Media Technology from Lansing Community College.
