April Nevarez, CMI, currently serves as the Director of Indirect Tax at The Michaels Companies, Inc. since October 2021. Prior to this role, April held various tax leadership positions including Director of Tax at Icahn Automotive and Tax Director at Icahn Holding Associates, overseeing tax matters for significant acquisitions. April's experience includes directorships at Nextlink Wireless and XO Communications, and prior roles at Deloitte, SC&H Group, Gannett, and Teleglobe. April earned an MBA in Finance and Accounting and a BS in Biology from The University of Texas at El Paso.
