Rachel King is an experienced professional in community development, research, and education, currently serving as a Team Leader at Micah Projects since November 2018 and as a Community Education and Development Officer at Domestic Violence Action Centre INC since December 2016. Prior roles include Researcher at the Crime and Corruption Commission, Senior Research Officer at Brotherhood of St Laurence, and Senior Intelligence Analyst at Victoria Police. Rachel has also held positions as a Senior Research Associate at RMIT University, Policy Officer at the Australian and New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency, and Executive Board Member at Women’s Health in the North. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Criminology from the University of Queensland, complemented by prior research and officer roles at Victoria Police and post-doctoral research experience at the University of Tasmania and Edith Cowan University.
