Ashton Freeman has extensive work experience in the housing development industry. They started their career in 2007 at AmicusHorizon Ltd, where they held various roles such as Development Project Manager, Senior Procurement Project Manager, and New Business Development Project Manager. In these positions, they were responsible for surveying and sourcing new sites, leading the design process, preparing budgets and financial appraisals, obtaining approvals and funding for development projects, managing project teams, overseeing on-site contracts, and delivering new build and refurbishment projects. They also had a role in procurement, ensuring compliance and managing a team of project managers. From 2014 to 2020, Ashton worked at Optivo as a New Business Manager and Senior Project Manager, focusing on commercial development and new initiatives. Currently, they serve as the Assistant Director of Development and Sales at mhs homes.

Ashton Freeman attended St John Fisher RC school in Chatham from 1992 to 1997, although no degree or field of study is specified for this period. In 2007 to 2008, Ashton pursued studies in Plumbing and Related Water Supply Services, acquiring Accreditation in Domestic Plumbing Installation from the National Open College Network, as well as BPEC Certification in WRAS.
