Richard Robinson is responsible for supporting security and emergency response related engagements for MHA. Richard brings over 30 years of combined security and law enforcement experience to MHA client companies, most recently as Commander of the Technical Services Bureaus for the Newtown Police Department where he supervised the day-to-day activities of the detectives and school-based officers. As one of the first responders to the tragic Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, he took command of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) until relieved by the Newtown Police Executive Officer. In the aftermath of the event Richard worked closely with the Newtown public, private and parochial schools on school safety and security issues. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree in justice and law administration from Western Connecticut State University and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Columbia Southern University.
