Rene Prinsloo is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in fixed income portfolio management and analysis. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager and Fixed Income Analyst at M&G Investments Southern Africa since October 2019, Rene previously held roles at Avior Capital Markets as a Fixed Income Analyst & Dealer, and at Element Investment Managers as a Portfolio Manager overseeing multi-asset class portfolios and the Element Absolute hedge fund. Additionally, Rene contributed as an Investment Analyst at Element Investment Managers, focusing on quantitative analysis and investment strategies. Early career experience includes a position as a Fund Analyst at Glacier and as a Lecturer in the Statistics and Actuarial Science Department at the University of Stellenbosch. Educational qualifications include a CFA designation and being a qualified actuary (FFA), alongside a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Actuarial Science from Stellenbosch University.
