Mathias Schaefer currently serves as CIO and CDO Bereichsleiter IT & Digitalisierung at MEYLE AG since June 2022. Prior to this role, Mathias held several senior director positions at Hapag-Lloyd AG from May 2001 to June 2022, where responsibilities encompassed IT management for business administration, collaboration, HR applications, and significant projects involving global IT services, SAP migrations, and business intelligence initiatives. Mathias also brought expertise in project management and SAP implementation through senior management roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and Coopers & Lybrand Consulting from 1994 to 2001. Mathias holds a Diplom in Wirtschaftsinformatik from Leuphana University of Lüneburg, earned between 1990 and 1994.
