Timo Torvinen has a long and varied work experience in the field of pumps and flow control. Timo started their career at Neles-Jamesbury as a Chief Engineer and later became the Manager of R&D. Timo then joined Neles Controls as the Director of R&D. After that, they moved to Metso Automation, where they held several roles including Director of Marketing, Director of the Hydrocarbon business, and VP of EHC Sales and Marketing. Timo then joined Metso Corporation as the VP of Global Sales and Marketing for Flow Control. Later on, they joined Metso and took on roles such as SVP of Global Sales and Marketing for Metso Flow Control, SVP of Pumps Business Line, and SVP of Business and Product Management for the Pumps Business Area. Currently, they are working at Metso Outotec as the Head of Product Group Pumps.

Timo Torvinen earned their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan, from 1984 to 1989.
