Darrell Breeden

Director of Software Engineering at Metrum Research Group

Darrell Breeden has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. From 2004 to 2006, they worked as the Latin Product Manager at UAV Corporation. Darrell then joined 3D Systems, where they served as a Special Projects and Reporting employee from 2006 to 2008. During this time, they were responsible for developing new reports and improving processes using Oracle systems.

From 2007 to 2012, Darrell worked as a Network Administrator at SATO America. Darrell then moved on to Time Warner Cable, where they became a Technical Analyst in the Applications Center of Excellence from 2012 to 2013. Darrell specialized in custom check development for the monitoring system and played a crucial role in its deployment across the company's footprint.

In 2013, Darrell joined Comporium as an IT Systems Engineer III, providing support for the Mirapoint/Linux systems team and developing custom solutions to issues. Darrell later became an IT Systems Engineer IV, focusing on storage and virtualization projects.

In 2016, Darrell joined Cimplx ACA as a Senior Developer, leading a team working on 1095c, a PHP application running on the Laravel Framework. Darrell also oversaw preparations for the upcoming tax year and planned a complete overhaul into a new language.

From 2017 to 2019, Darrell worked on their own project, The Writers Guide, as the Owner of Cumulose Code, Inc. Darrell designed the software, managed the VPS provider and technology stacks, and developed tools for continuous integration, monitoring, and management. The Writers Guide was planned for a US release, with translations into multiple languages for a global launch.

From 2018 to 2019, Darrell also worked as a VoIP Software Engineer at thinQ, a company specializing in voice over IP technology.

Most recently, in 2019, Darrell joined Metrum Research Group as the Principal Engineer and was later promoted to Director of Software Engineering in 2022.

Darrell Breeden completed their Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages and International Business at Winthrop University from 2002 to 2006. Darrell obtained additional certifications in VMware, including VMware Certified Associate 6 - Data Center Virtualization and VMware Certified Associate 6 - Network Virtualization, in September 2015.
