Liz Crosson

Chief Sustainability, Resiliency And Innovation Officer at Metropolitan Water District of Southern California

Liz Crosson is a highly experienced professional in sustainability and environmental policy, currently serving as the Chief Sustainability, Resiliency and Innovation Officer at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California since March 2022. Additionally, Liz co-teaches a graduate level course on Urban Sustainability at the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy. Previous roles include Liaison and Advisor to Cities at the LA County Chief Sustainability Office, Director of Infrastructure, Deputy Chief Sustainability Officer, and Water Policy Advisor for the Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti, as well as Executive Director at Los Angeles Waterkeeper. Liz also served on the board of the Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center and held various positions in environmental organizations. Liz holds a J.D. in Environmental Law from Lewis & Clark Law School, a Master's degree in Biology with a focus on Environmental Education from Southern Oregon University, and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science Policy and Management from the University of California, Berkeley.
