Sharon Sawers has a strong background in communications and marketing. Sharon started their career as a Media Manager at Billetts in 1996 and later worked as a Strategic Planner at Saatchi and Saatchi. In 2001, they became an Account Director at Zenith Media. From 2004 to 2017, Sharon held the role of Head of Marketing at UK Home Office, where they led a team of professionals responsible for behavior change campaigns. Sharon then served as the Director of Communications at the Home Office in 2017, and later joined the Cabinet Office as the Director of Communication in 2018. Sharon's most recent role was as the Director of Communications for the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities from 2021 to 2023. Sharon is currently serving as the Chief Communications Officer at Metropolitan Police since September 2023.
