Andreea Barac has worked in the software engineering field since 2011. Andreea began their career as a Software Engineer at Luxoft, then moved to Misys in 2013 where they held the same role. At Misys, they were responsible for designing and implementing applications for extraction, analysis, validation and processing of financial trade information, as well as adding support for new features in the SWIFT inter-banking communication protocol and implementing support for new regulatory standards. Andreea also ported key features of the trading application from desktop to web platform, developed and maintained internal productivity tools, and performed bug fixing and code maintenance. During their time at Misys, they improved the productivity of over 200 engineers by proposing and deploying an OpenGrok repository and optimized the company's development process by adding automated smoke tests to the source repository. In 2017, they moved to ThousandEyes as a Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer. Finally, in 2022, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at Metronome.

Andreea Barac received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Politehnica University of Bucharest between 2007 and 2011.
