Patrick L. Kennedy

VP, Experimental & Capability Development at Metron

Patrick Kennedy has been appointed as the (Acting) vice president of Metron’s newest division the Experimental and Capability Development (XCD) Division.

Patrick joined Metron in 2009 as a Senior Analyst, bringing more than 20 years of management and leadership experience in the civilian, defense, and intelligence sectors.

Most recently, Mr. Kennedy helped lead a diverse team of experts on a highly visible high-impact rapid capability development national defense project. He helped lead the innovation of a dynamic targeting model with advanced long range weapon kill chains and the prototyping of a naval and joint targeting capability. Under direction and funding of OSD’s SCO, the project is transitioning to the naval service and component commands.

Prior to joining Metron, Mr. Kennedy held positions at the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), the Combatting Terrorism Technical Support Office (CTTSO), and the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA) that allowed him to gain invaluable experience assisting in all aspects of program management, budget planning, rapid prototyping, acquisition of new and advanced technology, recruitment, planning, and logistics.

He is an exceptional briefer: a regular guest lecturer for Navy’s mid-level career Intelligence Course and warfare seminars, presenting lectures to Naval Academy students on relevant experience in the intelligence community and on national security affairs.

Mr. Kennedy began his career as a naval officer, serving 7 years active duty. He is a qualified Surface Warfare Officer serving on two warships. His last tour of duty was with the Office of Naval Intelligence as Counter Terrorism and Operational Intelligence Analyst.
