Tom Aylward-Nally has extensive work experience in various roles throughout their career. Tom started their career as a National Tour Briefing and Logistics Coordinator for a national political leadership campaign in 2006. In this role, they were responsible for developing briefing documents, producing promotional material, and managing travel arrangements for the candidate.
From 2008 to 2009, Tom worked as a Policy Analyst at the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, providing strategic policy advice and handling budgetary operations. Tom also gained a strong understanding of Canadian government operations and intergovernmental relations.
In 2009, Tom joined McMaster University as an Editorial Assistant and Teaching Assistant in Communications Studies. Tom supported the development and delivery of a textbook and instructed a delegation from Nanjing University.
In 2010, Tom joined Metrolinx, where they held various positions of increasing responsibility. Tom served as a Team Lead, Senior Advisor, and Coordinator for Stakeholder Relations, collaborating with different departments and ensuring effective public affairs engagement. Later, they became a Senior Advisor and Chief of Staff to the Chief Capital Officer, providing strategic advice and managing operations for a division responsible for a large transit infrastructure program. Currently, they are the Director of Capital Program Strategy & Operations, leading a coordinating office and providing strategic advice for Metrolinx's infrastructure expansion programs.
Tom Aylward-Nally attended Brentwood College School from 1996 to 2000. From 2000 to 2007, they studied at McMaster University earning a B. Arts Sc. degree in Arts and Science.
