Marissa Madrigal has a wealth of experience in various leadership roles. Most recently, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Metro since March 2020. Prior to that, they held the same position at Multnomah County from June 2014 to February 2020. During their time at Multnomah County, they also served as the Chair from September 2013 to June 2014. Marissa also served as the Chief of Staff at the Office of Multnomah County Chair from March 2010 to September 2013. Marissa has experience as a Chief of Staff at Multnomah County District 2 from November 2006 to July 2010. Marissa Madrigal obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Zoology from the University of Washington in 1998. Marissa later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Security Studies (Center for Homeland Defense and Security) from the Naval Postgraduate School from 2016 to 2018.
