Richard Malcolm

Head of Product at Metrikus

Richard Malcolm has a diverse background in product management and engineering. Richard started their career in 1994 as a Software Engineer at Automated Library Systems before joining Imagination Technologies in 1996 as a Design Engineer, where they developed customer tools and software. Richard then took on various roles at Imagination Technologies, including Design Engineer, User Interface Engineer, User Interface Architect, and Leading Design Engineer. In these roles, they were responsible for creating and refining user interfaces for smart devices and mobile apps, as well as managing cross-platform UX and collaborating with external design agencies.

In 2002, Richard joined Pure (Imagination Technologies), where they continued to work in product management and design. Richard played a key role in delivering a cross-platform UX for an audio ecosystem, leading the development of iOS and Android apps and managing an international cross-functional team. During their time at Pure, they also took on the role of Senior Software Design Engineer | Product Management at Imagination Technologies, working closely with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on technology reference platforms for an Internet of Things cloud platform.

Richard moved on to SmartSpace Global in 2017, where they served as a Product Owner, overseeing the development and maintenance of their products. Richard then joined Four Winds Interactive in 2020 as a Senior Product Manager, before transitioning to NFS Technology in 2022 as a Product Leader. Currently, Richard holds the position of Head of Product at Metrikus, a role they started in 2023.

Throughout their career, Richard has demonstrated expertise in product management, user interface design, and cross-platform UX development. Richard has a strong track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and leading teams to successfully deliver innovative products.

Richard Malcolm earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Newcastle University between the years 1990 and 1993.
