Gary Cottle has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Gary is currently the Principal CEO at Metrikus Ltd, a position they have held since May 2019. Prior to this, Gary was the Director and Principal at UrbanRe, a property development company, starting from December 2015.
Before their involvement in property development, Gary worked at Nomura as a Senior Managing Director, being appointed as the EMEA Head of Global Markets and Senior Managing Director in August 2012. Gary was responsible for running Fixed Income across sales, trading, and structuring, as well as overseeing Global Finance.
Gary also had a significant role at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), where they served as a Managing Director from August 2007 to November 2011. While at RBS, they held various positions such as Global Head of Sales, Chairman of Emerging Markets, and Global Head of Structuring.
During their tenure at Morgan Stanley from July 2006 to March 2007, Gary played a key role in putting together Global Capital Markets and was responsible for running debt and derivatives across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA).
Prior to their time at Morgan Stanley, Gary spent over a decade at Barclays, where they helped build and run the derivative business globally as a Managing Director. Gary played a pivotal role in expanding the business into a multi-billion pound venture with a large workforce.
Gary's earlier experiences include working as a Director at Chase from February 1992 to June 1994 and as a Director at N P Record, a financial risk consultancy, from January 1990 to February 1992, where they focused on currency and interest rate exposures for large corporations and investment funds.
Overall, Gary Cottle has a wealth of experience in various leadership and managerial roles in prominent companies within the financial services and property development industries.
Gary Cottle received their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mathematics with honors, specializing in maths and statistics, from the University of Plymouth in 1988. Gary pursued further education at the University of Bath and completed a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in computational statistics in 1989.
