Franka Birke, Dr. is a seasoned professional in the fields of entrepreneurship, technology management, and climate innovation. Currently serving as Managing Director at METR Building Management Systems GmbH since February 2017, Franka Birke focuses on providing connected tech systems for housing associations to enhance real estate management. Prior to this role, Franka Birke was the Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the Technical University of Berlin, overseeing the acceleration of technology-based startups. From June 2011 to December 2015, Franka Birke held the position of Entrepreneurship Lead Germany at Climate-KIC, contributing to initiatives aimed at tackling climate change. Franka Birke began academic involvement as a Research Assistant at the Technical University of Berlin and holds a degree in International Management and Entrepreneurship from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
