Chris Poppinga is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at MetOx International since 2022, Chris leads a $2.3M project for an annealing furnace system. Prior to this, Chris worked at Vortarus Technologies LLC from 2016 to 2022, developing a mechanical engineering Excel add-in product. Experience as a Systems Engineer at Baker Hughes (2011-2015) involved enhancing communication through system modeling for wireline formation testing. At Ryko Manufacturing (1997-2010), Chris progressed from a Mechanical Design Engineer to leading major projects, including the development of a car wash vacuum product line. Chris began the engineering career at Mac-Lander Inc. (1994-1997) and completed a Student Engineer Co-op at Dow Chemical in 1992. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University.
