Elson M. has a long history of work experience, starting in 1999. Elson began their career as an Applications Consultant for EPCC, then moved to GE Harris ECS as a Software Engineer. In 2001, they took on the role of Software Engineer for Teleca, and in 2002 they became a Senior Software Engineer for Diagnostic Monitoring Systems Ltd. From 2004 to 2006, Elson worked as a Senior Software Engineer for BitWise Ltd, and then as a Software Development Manager for DEM Solutions from 2006 to 2014. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Senior Manager of Software Engineering for Secureworks, and since 2021 they have been the Chief Technology Officer for Metix (UK).

Elson M. obtained a BEng (Licenciatura) in Software Engineering from the Universidade de Coimbra between 1992 and 1998. Elson also holds a Certified SAFe® 5 Program Consultant (SPC) certification from Scaled Agile, Inc., obtained in October 2020, as well as Prince2 Foundation and Prince2 Practitioner certifications from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT.
