Cassidy Caron

Cassidy Caron serves as the President of the Métis National Council since October 2021, bringing a wealth of experience from previous roles including Associate at First Peoples Group and Independent Research & Evaluation Consultant. Cassidy has a strong background in community engagement, highlighted by tenure as Youth Minister for Métis Nation British Columbia, where efforts focused on culturally relevant programs and policies for Métis communities. Additional experience includes positions at Reciprocal Consulting and the BC Public Service, where Cassidy contributed to program evaluation and environmental policy development. Cassidy holds a Master's degree in Community Development from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor's degree in First Nations Studies from Vancouver Island University.
