Alexa L. is a Systems Engineer at METECS since August 2022, focusing on NASA Gateway C&DH. Previously, Alexa worked at Texas Rocket Engineering Lab from June 2019 to May 2022, holding multiple roles including Recovery System Drop Test Engineer, where an integrated recovery system drop test was developed, and Recovery Systems Engineer, leading efforts to create a recovery system aimed at reaching the Kármán line with a collegiate-developed liquid bipropellant rocket. Alexa's experience also includes roles as Recovery Avionics Engineer, conducting research and development for parachute deployment systems. Internships at Ball Aerospace and L3Harris Technologies involved requirements management and systems engineering tasks, while an internship at Applied Research Laboratories supported the development of a GPS positioning algorithm. Alexa earned a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2022.
