Paul Thompson has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2004. Paul began their career as Chief Executive Officer at Metagyre, Inc., and later took on the role of Strategic Datacenter Migration Project Management, where they developed strategic plans and provided senior leadership to migrate data centers. In 2009, they became Program Manager at CO-OP Financial Services, followed by Project Manager at DIS - State of Washington in 2010. Paul then worked as Program Manager at Providence Health & Services from 2011 to 2014, and as Senior Program Manager at Group Health from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they became Senior Program Manager at adidas Group, where they led the migration of adidas' datacenter from Canton to Portland. Paul then moved to Senior Program Manager at adidas in 2018, where they successfully lead the team responsible for the second adidas datacenter migration in two years.

Paul Thompson obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Information Systems from the University of Portland between 1984 and 1987. In 2020, they obtained a Smartsheet Product Certified User certification from Smartsheet. Paul also has certifications from Electronic Data Systems in the Project Manager Program and the Systems Engineer Development Program.
