Lauri Sten has extensive work experience in the field of cloud infrastructure and architecture. Lauri is currently working at Metacore as the Head of Infrastructure/Infrastructure Lead. Before joining Metacore, Lauri worked at Stén & Co Oy Ab as a Board Member from 2016. From 2018 to 2020, they worked at Webscale Oy as a Senior Consultant and DevOps Lead, where they primarily focused on designing and implementing AWS environments and providing cloud infrastructure solutions. Prior to that, Lauri worked at F-Secure Corporation as a System Architect for nine years, where they were responsible for transitioning the company into the cloud and implementing multi-account AWS environments. Lauri also has experience working at Tieto as a System Specialist, where they ran previous employers' applications and participated in running various government sites. Lauri began their career at Fonecta as an Application Specialist, where they administrated servers and contributed to changing the production system architecture to a highly available stack.

Lauri Sten has had a diverse education history. Lauri began their academic journey in 1996 at Jokelan Lukio, where they completed the Matriculation Exam as part of the High School Certificate of Competence Program. After that, from 1999 to 2004, they attended Hämeen Ammattikorkeakoulu, earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology.

Continuing their education, Lauri pursued Industrial Engineering and Management at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from 2005 to 2008, obtaining another Bachelor of Engineering degree.

In addition to their formal education, Lauri has also earned several certifications to enhance their skills. Lauri completed various specializations and certifications through Coursera, including Programming With Google Go Specialization, Big Data Specialization, Full Stack Development, and Cryptography I.

Furthermore, Lauri has obtained multiple certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in different areas of expertise. These certifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate (SOA), AWS Certified Developer - Associate, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA). These certifications demonstrate their proficiency in AWS technologies and services.
