David Rooks has over 20 years of work experience in the technology industry. David began their career in 2001 as a Test Systems Software Engineer at Stallion Technologies Pty Ltd. David then moved to Teachers' Union Health as a Tester in 2002. In 2003, they became a Test Manager at Segala, where they also contributed to several W3C working groups. In 2006, they moved to O2 (Telefónica UK) as an Online Shop Test Manager. From 2012 to 2015, they worked at Sky in various roles, such as Senior Scrum Master - Sky Store - TV Devices, Scrum Master, and Tester. In 2015, they joined NOW TV as a Technical Product Owner - Now TV - React Native and Senior Scrum Master - Now TV - Roku. From 2019 to 2021, they worked at comparethemarket.com as a Delivery Manager. Currently, they are an Engineering Manager at Sky. In 2010, they also worked at MetaCert - Security API for Developers as a Data Lead, where they were responsible for managing and maintaining Metacert's database of website information.

David Rooks has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology, which they obtained between 1996 and 1999. Prior to this, they attended Padua College between 1988 and 1995.
