Ketong Wang is an experienced engineering manager in machine learning, currently overseeing all ML initiatives for Threads Search Relevance at Instagram since June 2022. Prior to this role, Ketong served as an ML Science Manager at Amazon from April 2019 to May 2022, where responsibilities included managing teams focusing on organic search ranking and personalized recommendations in the fashion sector. Earlier experience includes leading ML modeling and analytics at JPMorgan Chase & Co. for consumer banking and mortgage marketing, as well as research roles at SendGrid and NeuStar, Inc. Ketong also co-founded a data science team at MarkitX, concentrating on search engine backend and pricing algorithms. Educational qualifications include degrees from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
