Matthew Scherer is an experienced finance professional with a focus on private equity. Currently serving as Vice President of Private Equity at Mesirow since December 2019, Matthew previously held the position of Associate in Private Equity. Prior experience includes working as a Senior Associate at Standish Management, LLC, where Matthew gained valuable experience in fund administration and financial reporting for private equity and venture capital firms. Earlier roles consist of serving as a Research Analyst at Harmer Associates and a two-week internship at Wynnchurch Capital, LLC, a significant private equity firm. Matthew also developed a strong work ethic and established a professional network while working as a High Honor Caddy at North Shore Country Club. Matthew earned a degree from the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 2018.
